self-aligning ball bearings for conveyors

Self-aligning ball bearings are critical components in conveyor systems, particularly those subject to misalignment or shaft deflection. These bearings feature an inner ring with two raceways and a spherical outer ring, allowing them to automatically adjust to angular misalignment between the shaft and housing. This self-aligning capability ensures smooth operation and reduces stress on the bearing, extending its service life.

Self-aligning Ball Bearings 1200 Series

1200 Series Self-aligning ball bearings have two rows of balls, a common sphered raceway in the outer ring and two deep uninterrupted raceway grooves in the inner ring. They are insensitive to angular misalignment of the shaft relative to the housing, which can be caused, for example, by shaft deflection.

Self-aligning Ball Bearings 2200 Series

1. The self aligning ball bearings consist of two rows of balls and a common concave sphered raceway in the outer ring and theinner ring. 2. This type bearings have the self-aligning capacity which make the bearings insensitive to angular misalignments of the shaft relative to the housing. 3. The series of the bearings: 1200, 1300, 2200, 2300 and so on. 4. The bearings are also available with a cylindrical bore or, in certain size ranges, with a tapered bore.

What are the structural characteristics of self-aligning ball bearings?

Its characteristic is that the outer ring raceway is spherical and has self-aligning properties, which can compensate for errors caused by non-concentricity and shaft deflection, but the relative inclination of the inner and outer rings must not exceed 3 degrees.
